Murray
Parkway Golf
Course
is owned and
operated by
Murray City.
Located just
off of I-215
and close to
I-15 this
traditional
style golf
course is
one of the
easiest
locations to
get to from
all points
in the Salt
Lake Valley.
While the
golf course
is fairly
flat and
walking
friendly, it
has always
posed a good
challenge of
golf for all
levels of
players.
The layout is mostly straight forward with classic design features, and
the course
has an eerie
feeling like
the old
course you
grew up and
learned the
game on.
Murray
Parkway is
not brutally
long in
yardage but
a few pesky
holes on
each nine,
the course
will test
your shot
making
ability.
The dog-leg right, par-4 first is a test for most players with a large
lake running
the entire
right side
of the
fairway.
Though not
long many
players are
worried from
the very
first tee.
The inward nine has a few more memorable holes starting with the 610 yard
par-5 tenth.
A long
rolling hole
with a thin
fairway and
a well
protected
green.
Murray
Parkway 's
par-4
eighteenth
is arguably
the
signature
hole of the
golf course
and features
the Jordan
River
running down
the left
side, and a
small creek
crossing the
fairway
about 240
from the
tee.
If you can
pound it
over the
creek you
have a nice
look at a
well
bunkered,
large green.
